		<description>this book was the first by stephen king that i really liked - i could never make much use of his horror stories for which is is (was?) much more widely known. the pace changes quite a bit in the sequels, but they&#039;re still enjoyable enough. king writes a lot and it&#039;s not all good, but he is a superb storyteller. i also like his reflections on writing (in &quot;on writing&quot;) where he tells it how it is in a down to earth style, and i like his respect for the readers who follow him into the stephen king universe, at whose centre loomes the dark tower itself...</description>
